Pontefract Guitar Lessons

Guitar Lessons take place in my dedicated studio located in Glasshoughton, close to both Pontefract and Castleford.

The majority of guitar lessons are taught one to one but I am happy to teach small groups. The focus of lessons is largely based on the learning goals we outline in your free initial guitar lesson. Once the fundamentals are covered, I like to tailor lessons to each individual student. This way I can utilise your favourite songs/musicians to highlight specific techniques.

Some of the topics you can expect to cover are as follows: Open Chords, Barre Chords, Scales, Arpeggios, Rhythm Guitar Playing, Lead Guitar Techniques, Improvisation, Ear Training, Music Theory, Composition and Knowledge of your instrument.

Another area I cover is exam preparation. Exams enable students to measure their guitar playing ability while gaining an internationally recognised qualification.
